In a collaborative effort, Insite designed a new park access drive with trail parking. We also designed and constructed a new Appalachian Trail trailhead parking area. This project involved permitting, NYSDEC stormwater pollution prevention plan preparation, wetland mitigation, animal habitat considerations, trail system connections, and jurisdictional transfer mapping through New York State DEC.
CARMEL AIRPORT PARK

Insite worked closely with the Recreation Department on the development of a new town park at a former airport site. Our services included layout, site design, and permitting for the development of the park. Insite also provided design services for an irrigation system, electrical service upgrades, and onsite water and wastewater facilities, while providing construction oversight through the project's multiphase completion.
BEDFORD MEMORIAL PARK

Insite worked with the East of Hudson Watershed Corporation (EOHWC) and the Town of Bedford for the installation of a stormwater retrofit at Bedford Memorial Park, in a effort to design construct a stormwater retrofit that would reduce phosphorus in accordance with NYSDEC standard for the benefit of the East of Hudson Watershed. Insite’s services included stormwater design, pedestrian path lighting design, state permitting, construction document preparation, and construction-related services.
EOHWC KENT STORMWATER RETROFIT

Insite worked with the East of Hudson Watershed Corporation (EOHWC) and the Town of Kent to install a stormwater retrofit solution at Ryan Memorial Park. Our services provided included stormwater retrofit design, surveying, permitting, and construction support including accommodations for maintaining and enhancing the existing exercise trail in this specific portion of the park.
CARMEL WATER DISTRICT #2

Responsible for 1 million gallons of water a day, this water district requires major storage and distribution systems. In addition to supporting the town with several projects for these systems, Insite has also supported other water and sewer districts in Carmel.
BEDFORD SEWER SYSTEM

Supporting the project engineer, we created a detailed base map of over 6 miles of new gravity and forced main sewer lines and connections. Horizontal and vertical control was set along the route through GNSS observations and conventional traversing and levelling methods. We used aerial photogrammetry to capture planimetric details and topographic data. Property line determination and retracement of state right of ways were also provided.
